Pointe2 Agent Site

I am locked out of my point2 site, can't log in, can't get a new password emailed, they have no number to call and I've sent dozens of email and password change requests and received nothing back. Nothing is in my spam filter, I haven't gotten squat.

Does anyone with a point2 site have the ability to:

1.  Log in

2. Have access to a phone number in their admin section so I can get this fixed.

I am now highly aggrevated by "test driving" this site and I'm ready to scrap the whole thing.

Maybe Point2, Point 2, Point two, point2agent reads feeds and will respond.

Putting Your Best Foot Forward

This little piggy went to marketThe Brain lives upstairs.  She's a college student at Florida Gulfcoast University.  She has alot of crap in her room and it's spreading....to the room her brothers old room and trinkling down the stairs.  Today, we have a buyer coming to look at our house.  I have to ride her like Secretariat to corral her debris or at least jam it under the bed so the place looks presentable.

Before she walked out the door this morning I asked no more than a few times to make sure upstairs was fit for showing.  There is a great deal of drama involved.  I realize she may cure cancer in the future but right now she's like a pebble in my shoe with the whining about "getting to school on time", "so much to do, so little time" drama - as if anyone else in this house, dog included, doesn't have better things to do than clean.

I just received a message on my phone and I thought she was crying but it was laughing.  It would appear in her haste to clean her room, appease me and get out the door at dark o'clock she put on the wrong pair of sandals.  There is an exact set up upstairs, just like the one's she is wearing.

I can't wait until she has a husband and a baby to really tax her system.

Yes, we're still wearing flip-flops down here.  It's a 365 thing.  Shouldn't YOU be buying Bonita Springs, Florida real estate?

Bonita Springs Toys For Tots

Wait!  This almost met a brutal death in my shredder.  I snapped it up before it was ground to bits and took another look (and scanned it just for you).  Perfect timing for the Toys for Tots to show up. I'm cleaning and decluttering because my house is for sale. I have found toys and collectible games, a doll, unwrapped, in original boxes in closets and under beds.  They're hanging on my mailbox Saturday!

If you're in Bonita Springs and have unused, new games or care to pick up a few to contribute to the Toys for Tots program, here's the details:

I'm a Listing Agent, Not Your Indentured Servant

She sounded this obnoxious on the phone, too.Let me start by saying this: I love referrals.

Where other do mind them, I don't mind them one bit.  My theory is this:  I can use this listing as a tool to get another listing in the same neighborhood that is all mine, mine, mine or sell a home off the listing I'm offering a referral on, right?  Business brings business.

Here's what I mind about the referral practice:  Ring Ring (this is an agent in Bull Shoals Arkansas who met a lady at a bus stop who knows a person in Bonita Springs, Florida who's electrician is selling their home)

Well, today Ms. Bull Shoals emailed to refer a customer to me.  Little info accompanied the referral.  I explained in a return email that my policy is to do my best to educate the referring agent and the customer and IF I am not able to help them I will gladly GIVE them [the referring agent] the number of a competitor that has a listing in that neighborhood so they have a viable agent to work with.  Pretty nice of me, huh?

Little Ms. Bull Shoals wants nothing of it and doesn't understand what would preclude me from being able to help her customer.  She must take every listing without regard to how it effects her bottom line or the local market in general.

****I support my local real estate market & economy by taking listings that are only priced right - I don't "try it" at a higher price for a few week first****

I explained to her in no uncertain terms that times are tough in some areas of Southwest Florida.  You've not given me a name or even street name so:

  1. I don't know where the home is, it's condition or if it's in a community like Village Walk with 64 other listings behind one set of gates.  Booo!  I'll do 'em, but they have to be serious about it!
  2. I don't know how much the customer paid or got an equity line for and if they're upside down.  I'm not fond of short sales, but I'd happily refer it to an agent in my office who is.
  3. I don't just take any listing.  There, I said it.  Listings are falling from trees like buckeyes in October.  I have a great marketing plan and only cooperative, educated, motivated sellers fit in that plan.  Meaning:  You have to list it for what it can appraise.  (That crazy "old math" from the history books)
  4. Your home has to be ready for sale - spit shined and maybe you should throw in a warranty, too!

I finally called this woman, who was bothered by my call and asked why I just didn't call the customer for all the details.  I explained this to her:

You want paid, so you have to play.

  1. You're getting educated and supporting what I have to say or the door is over there~~>
  2. Just because you offered me a listing doesn't mean I need to, have to or want to take it.  It's my business and my business plan.   Besides, I offered to help YOU find someone that would, remember?
  3. I need more than a phone number and a name because our Lee County Tax Roll doesn't seem to think your referral even owns property here.  I'm not calling anyone with NO information to offer them because they can't see me bat my pretty brown eyes through the phone.  Calling someone without any info to offer is like knocking on someones front door naked.

Again, I love referrals.  But if you want paid then you have to play - or rather, work.  Do your homework - do your portion.  Get some info for the other agent and learn some info about the area your referral is trying to sell.  The  agent  to whom you are referring is not your indentured servant and listings aren't that unusually these days.

An Onion & Gatorade Powers The World

Don't ask me how I find stuff like this.  Besides, the real question you should be asking is "How did this guy discover an onion and gatorade powers the world?"

Now, since it's a USB plug that he's using can this technique charge my Treo? I mean....if ever I am so stranded with only an onion and gatorade and have to pull a MacGyver.  Will my phone smell like onions when it rings?

At any rate, this humored me.  (I'm simple)  I have not tested it as I am stranded at the real office without an onion or gatorade.  Your case study of this experiment is welcome in the comments below.

Making Memories at a Discount

If you haven't tried it before or heard of it for that matter http://www.walgreens.com/ has an online photo service.

Now, photo processing is a competitive market and I don't doubt that there are per print prices that might be more affordable if I cared to shop for it.

Here is the neatest thing about Walgreens online.  Set up your free account.  Then you can upload and store your photos.  After the photos are uploaded you can - from your home computer:

  1. Order the photos to pick up at your local Walgreens
  2. Send the photos to the Walgreens of your choice; if you're vacationing send them to the store closest to your hotel or rental condo.
  3. Order a set and have them sent them to the store near Grandmas in Cleveland, Ohio, or the Walgreens that's closer to work.
  4. Order a set sent via postal mail to whomever you choose. If  you live 1,000's of miles from friends and family you can keep them in the loop with your family.  They process and mail them right from the factory.
  5. Email a "share album" link to someone that can pick and choose what they want to have printed. I've had fellow school mates of my kids ask for images and I just sent them a "share link" to my Walgreens account.

The cost for prints is $.19 and you can even order other sizes and gift items.  Plus, you can manage your prescriptions from your Walgreens account if that's where you get your med's.

Have You Seen The Band of Bloggers?

History ChannelI sort of overheard this on a commercial from the next room and then did a search for it on Google.

The next time someone asks you if blogging works or if blogging has a future or if there's a reason to blog. (uh, maybe to tell the truth) Let them have a look at this.  You don't have to be spoon fed propaganda from any media source when you can just find it in a blog from the source.

Courtesy of the Hitler....uh I mean the History Channel.  All war all the time.  It's a profile of bloggers in the military, their words, their videos, their pods casts.

I'll leave you to watch their link.

Fort Myers Jingle Bell Run - DDD 5K (Updated with Race Results)

Another bridge.  This one was murder.  The 3D running club organized the 5K Jingle Bell run in Centennial Park, Fort Myers, Florida. The race went over the Caloosahatchee river bridge to North Fort Myers and back. Murder I say! I felt this bridge was more of a challenge than the Cape Coral bridge.

It had not dawned on me (I've never run this race before) that it's called the jingle bell run because they give you shoe laces with bells on them and the whole running crowd jingles.  I tied my laces and bells to my camelback and jingled almost all the way.  I ran so hard I blew my bells off!

The winners are generally "machines" with the 3D running club, they may actually be cyborgs.  Amazing creatures with not a scrap of fat on them.  They're generally done running by the time I hit the 1/2 way point.  ::tip of hat::

Someone has to bring up the rear, right?

Enjoy the video and listen for the jingle bells.
