None of this made the mainstream news, of course.  There simply isn't enough room in the paper orspare air time, what with all the reporting of the guy that got arrested for stealing $.42 (yes, cents) from a fountain.  That's how we roll down here.  That guy is lucky they didn't pop a cap in his arse.  Po po is serious in SW Florida.

So would it kill you to write a restaurant review?  Not likely.  In an effort to not bore my readers into a coma I occasionally write about things that aren't so real estate related.

A few days later I receive an email from a marketing director for a restaurant that is just about to open.  He sent an invitation to training night for 1/2 price grub.  I asked if I could blog about it and he sent another email and gave me a reservation for the grand opening day for dinner for me and a guest. 

Pretty smart guy.  Not that I'm *that* brilliant of a blogger but he is one of those youngsters that understands the way the web works, feed readers work, email subscriptions work and maybe even that there twitter thingy everyone's always talking about.  My guess is he knows tossing me grub will get a blog post email to a couple hundred subscribed readers.  Pretty low overhead, don't you think?
